BCSP is offering limited full and partial support to presenters through the BCSP Research and Dissemination Grant (open to all students and early career conservationists and researchers in the Philippines) and the BCSP Publications Grant (open to all).
BCSP Research Dissemination Grant
Limited full or partial financial support for travel and symposium attendance will be provided to selected presenters (maximum P10,000/person). Priority will be given to student presenters and early career professionals (less than 5 years of work experience). Application Form is available in the Downloads section. Email completed application form to symposium@biodiversity.ph with the subject heading ‘BCSP Research Dissemination Grant’ not later than 22 July 2019.
Recipients of the BCSP Research Dissemination Grant are required to provide by 15 August 2015 an original full manuscript in scientific paper format for the proceedings. See Instructions to Authors and Guidelines for Writing a Scientific Paper.
The approved grant will be disbursed at the symposium.
BCSP Publications Grant
All authors of abstracts accepted for presentation at the 28th Annual Philippine Biodiversity Symposium may submit a full manuscript for publication in a scientific peer-reviewed journal of BCSP’s choice. The grant is open to all students and professionals alike.
Authors must submit their manuscript along with the Authors Information Sheet on or before 15 August 2019. The Application Form is available in the Downloads section. Also, see Instructions to Authors and Guidelines for Writing a Scientific Paper.
Registration fees of authors will be reimbursed if the manuscript has been accepted for review by the Publications Committee Editorial Board. The grant only applies to lead authors.
Note: Manuscripts may still be submitted up to two months after the symposium, but only those manuscripts received on or before the deadline may avail of the grant. Publishing manuscripts with BCSP is free!
